Online check-in is available from London, Glasgow and Manchester for passengers over two years old. You can also use the self-service kiosks at Keflavik airport and Hilton Reykjavik Nordica Hotel. Online and airport check-in times vary between airports so it pays to check your specific route.
Checked luggage: for flights within Europe in Economy class you can check 20kg (44lbs). For transatlantic flights you can take two checked bags weighing up to 23kg (50lbs) each, with total dimensions of 158cm (62in). Infants without their own seat can take a 10kg bag plus one collapsed stroller. You can also take one piece of carry-on luggage.
Children aged between five and 11 inclusive are considered to be unaccompanied minors and will be charged an additional £30 each way. You will need to complete a form which can be downloaded from the Icelandair website. Children will get activity packs and special meals. There is a wheelchair service and assistance dogs are permitted in the cabin.
Travel in Economy, Economy Comfort or Saga Class. There is a 32" seat pitch in Economy class.
In Economy class you will get complimentary snacks and soft drinks, but with an upgrade to Economy Comfort you will also get meals and beer and wine and of course Saga class offers more dining options. They offer films and or short entertainment programmes, music channels, newspapers and magazines including Atlantica, the airlines magazine.
Pets, excluding assistance dogs, will be transported in the cargo hold. They must be booked in advance. Ski, golf and cycling gear can be transported as part of your baggage allowance as long as it's under the maximum allowance. Ask about packing restrictions.
