Travel to Alicante

There are more than 30 airports across the UK that offer flights to Alicante so it's easy to get off on your holiday from a nearby airport. The array of flights means that you can get some great deals on the route, particularly if you are flexible on travelling dates.

On arrival in Alicante

There is a bus to the centre of Alicante which runs every 30 minutes and takes about 30 minutes to reach the town centre. If there is a large group of you or you have a lot of luggage then taxis are also available and are fairly reasonably priced. Car hire is also available from the airport.

Getting around Alicante

If you stay near the Old Town it's pretty easy to walk to most places, but for further flung trips on your Alicante holiday then the bus and tram network is excellent. The fares are cheap and there are even some night buses too. Taxis around the town are reasonably priced if you want to get there a bit faster.

Travelling further afield

Alicante has excellent transport links to other destinations in Spain. A tram runs to Benidorm where you can get easy connections to other Costa Blanca resorts and beyond. The high-speed rail network means that Madrid and Barcelona are within easy and fast reach, and the intercity coach network offers travel to most of the major towns across the country. The Balearic Islands and Algeria can be reached by ferries that runs regularly from the harbour.
