For the cheapest exchange rates in town use the GWK bank at the Centraal Station, or Lorentz on Damrak. Beware of large notes (€100+) as many places won't take them so always ask for smaller bills.

Language:

Dutch is the national language although English is spoken by practically everyone in Amsterdam. French and German are also common languages.
