Benidorm

Levante

The party centre of Benidorm is situated around the lovely Levante beach, boasting two kilometres of pristine sands and lovely clear water. With plenty of water sports and the two theme parks Mundomar and Aqualandia there's plenty to keep you busy during the day, but it's at night that Levante comes alive. The area has the highest concentration of nightlife in Europe, focused on the cluster around Av. De Mallorca. There are bars and clubs to suit all tastes from a quiet evening in a nice little bar to live comedy shows, cabaret acts or a big night out dancing.

Poniente and La Cala

Popular with families and Spanish tourists, this area is much quieter than its sister beach at Levante. Poniente beach is nearly three kilometres long and also has pristine sand and lovely clear water. Great for relaxing, there is a slower pace of life here. With plenty of nice, cheap accommodation and within easy reach of the main theme parks and entertainment. La Cala is further away from the centre and is even quieter still. It is a popular destination for golfing holidays as it boasts three world-class golf courses; Campo America, Asia and Europa.

Benidorm Old Town

Situated between the two main beaches are the quirky winding streets of the Old Town. This is where you'll get a feel for Benidorm's authentic Spanish culture with whitewashed houses, and the picturesque blue domes of the Church of San Jaime. The old town has a variety of accommodation including some lovely smaller hotels, and it's easy to get to either beach if you choose to stay in the historic centre.

Rincon de Loix

At the east end of the Levante beach is the most modern part of Benidorm, Rincon de Loix. With a nice mix of high-class hotels and cheaper apartments this area is most popular with tourists from the UK. Take a wander through the indoor market which has an intimate feel with craft stalls and traditional English tea shops. The more adventurous should try out the Cable Ski Benidorm, a 60 kilometre per hour adrenaline-fuelled ride out at sea!
