Bodrum
Hot SpotsEast Bodrum
The eastern part of Bodrum bay is known for its wide array of cafes, restaurants and clubs. This is the entertainment centre of the town, with Helikarnas Disco leading the way most nights. This side tends to attract the partying crowd and there are plenty modern Bodrum holiday resorts here. The beach is close but is long and thin so gets busy very easily.
West Bodrum
Focusing on the marina and yacht club, west Bodrum is much more expensive with high-class shops and fancy restaurants. West Bodrum hotels can be more costly too, but the harbour side makes a lovely place to wander in the evening with its twinkling lights.
Old Bodrum
The narrow streets between Bodrum Kalesi and the Myndus Gate are full of culture and lots of tiny shops where you can buy leather and souvenirs to your heart's content, but be prepared to haggle hard to get the best price! For the ultimate in relaxation don't forget to visit a Hammam, the traditional Turkish baths.
