When to go to

Boston

Boston Weather

Despite Boston being one of the least sunny cities in the USA, the summers are warm (often humid) and the winters cold and fresh.

Boston experiences definite seasons. Spring is warm from April to mid June, July through to September will see temperatures rise as high as 27°C. Mid October is the perfect time to visit to witness the stunning fall leaves and foliage that characterise this part of Massachusetts and New England. The winter months, December to April can see temperatures plummet to -5°C and some snow fall, so make sure you pack accordingly!

Boston's Tourist Season

Being such a major US city, Boston is a popular destination for holiday makers all year round. Autumn is generally recommended as the best time to visit, as the weather is often fine and the parks are full of brightly coloured leaves. However this can also mean that the city is slightly more crowded, and that prices are that little bit higher.

The best time for deals is in January, when hotels are traditionally their emptiest and keen to fill rooms. Also look out for special offers around off-peak holidays such as Memorial Day. This is when locals head out to Cape Cod, leaving you to take advantage of a quieter city.
