Obuda
posted by mdean The oldest part of Buda is an intriguing place to visit! Sure there are loads of rows of houses all the same but you can also seek out some Roman ruins as well as some very pretty little neighbouhoods. Nyugati Train Station
posted by nfuller This station is as much about arriving as the destination! We just popped in to admire its architecture and I'm not even ashamed to say we went to the MickyD's there as it was the swishest one i've ever seen in my life! City Park
posted by whanford Great place! We loved to head here for a stroll after lunch if it wasn't too far as it's great to get away from the busy roads for a bit. The baths are great too. Fisherman's Bastion
posted by bashbaugh what a great place to go. I love buildings that were built for more-or-less pure decoration as they are always beautiful and a little mad. This is no exception, with seven towers, plenty of stairways and other fancy additions, plus some pretty spectuacular views. Danube Promenade
posted by vkettlewell Between Chain Bridge and Elizabeth Bridge there is this beautiful promenade ideal for strolling and seeing the views over to the Buda side. Just marvellous, we came here most days, since our hotel was pretty close to it, just to enjoy the views. |
Budapest is the jewel in Hungary's crown and one of central Europe's must-visit destinations. The Danube flows through, separating Buda from Pest with buildings on both sides sitting as proud monuments to its cultural heritage and artistic significance. Even the hotels in Budapest are steeped in history and a peek out of any window could present you with a fascinating view. There is car hire available from Budapest Airport to get you to your accommodation quickly. Choose from local Budapest car hire firms or opt for one of the international providers if this suits you better. With car rental in Budapest you will be able to visit as many of the sights as possible and even head out of the city too. Budapest's architecture covers virtually every style under the sun and even if you know nothing about its history you will be able to appreciate its beauty. The multiple bridges which straddle the Danube will allow you to cross between the city's two halves, experiencing traditional eateries and cafes sitting alongside fast food joints and international shops. Whilst Budapest is not without its imperfections it presents itself in such a way that it is irresistible and a flight to Budapest becomes a very appealing option.Hiring A Car In Budapest
