This is a beautiful ruin of a castle not far from Cork. It is set within several acres of beautiful garden and is very overgrown inside, quite a romantic effect. You can kiss the 'stone of eloquence' inside which involves hanging backwards over a sheer drop!

This is an old Abbey/Monastery that still has some of it's original areas intact, although it has lost most of it's roof over time. It gives a great sense of the past. I like that it is off the beaten path and you have to walk a little ways to get there.
