Flyglobespan, Air Transat and Thomas Cook Airlines each offer one direct, scheduled weekly flight from Manchester to Vancouver.
The flight time is 10 hours to Vancouver International Airport which is situated on ‘Sea Island’, about 7 miles from the city centre. There is no rail link at present but there are plans underway to open one in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics which the city is hosting in February. If you prefer a taxi, it will cost you around $30 and takes half an hour.
