Atlanta is the capital of and most populous city in Georgia, America and cheap flights to Atlanta from Europe are some of the world's most busiest. This is because Atlanta is renowned all over the world for being a fantastic metropolitan area with a business reputation, stunning skyline and beautiful weather. As it has a humid subtropical climate, the summers are often wet and hot and the winters mild with occasional snow.
Atlanta's skyline is incredibly diverse, with huge modern skyscrapers of steel placed next to old colonial buildings and postmodern vintage architecture. Unlike Savannah and New Orleans, the city's planners opted to push the modernity of the city and so the colonial buildings are scarce and many have been replaced with expressive modern structures designed by up and coming architects.
The city is home to many of the facilities and amenities expected of international tourist destinations, such as hotels, bars and restaurants but it has many things unique to Atlanta and Georgia. For instance, it has the world's largest indoor aquarium with numerous animals and sea creatures and the World of Coca-Cola factory, which shows the history of the brand and offers tastings. There are also many museums, such as the Martin Luther King Jr. Historical Site, the Civil War Museum and the Science Museum. Piedmont Park is also the venue of many festivals and outdoor concerts.
To visit the American South for yourself, you can now get cheap flights to Atlanta, landing in the city's central Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Atlanta flights run regularly throughout the year.
