Flights To Caracas
Cheap flights to Caracas from the UK are available without any changes but you may need to get a connecting flight, which can extend the travel time to longer than 24 hours. A flight to Caracas will land at Simon Bolivar International Airport, otherwise known as Maiquetia by residents of Venezuela, and after Caracas flights you will have to travel for 30 minutes to get into the centre of the city.
Getting Around Caracas
Visitors can book car hire from Caracas Airport to transport them during their stay, although it may not be necessary as there are good public transport links in the city itself. As well as the usual taxis and buses there is a Metro subway system which extends across almost the entire city and makes travelling after Caracas flights easy and swift.
What To See In Caracas
Although the mountains around Caracas are imposing, it's relatively easy for visitors to get a view from high up thanks to the cable car system that will take you to El Avila National Park. Those who have the energy can go hiking, but it is possible to take in the view without exertion.
