This is a beautiful old church built in the early 1700s. It has several wonderful bells in the tower, that you can pay a small fee to ring yourself. It is a great view from the tower.

Fantastic, traditional Irish pub. The attentive barmen are dressed in a Victorian style and keep you supplied with mouth watering Guiness and hearty sandwiches.

Situated in Ireland's largest county, Cork has lot to offer any visitors. Cork city itself sits on the mouth of the River Lee and the town centre is on an island in the middle of the river giving the city a unique charm. With a population of just 128,000 and big university, the city combines small town charm with all the delights and energy of a modern city. It makes a great base to explore the rural beauty of the county as well as having the world class tourist attractions of the Lakes of Killarney and Blarney Castle virtually on your doorstep.

How to get there

Whilst the scheduled operators may not offer the cheapest flights to Cork, you should be able to find a cheap flight to Cork through one of the budget airlines.

When to go
Although Ireland gets its name as the Emerald Isle from the fact that there is a lot of rain, Cork is a lot drier than other cities such as Dublin.
