Botanical Gardens
posted by kgleper The Denver Botanical Gardens are a lovely spot and a great place to chill out and go for a long walk. There is a great conservatory for tropical plants with a real variety of different kinds. The Japanese garden is also very nice and I can really recommend trying to catch one of the concerts that ha ... more Coors Field
posted by DVC_Chris Being a big baseball fan, I always try to make it a point of trying to catch a game when I am in a major league city. Denver has to have one of the nicest ball parks I have seen in Coors Field, with great views, even in inexpensive seats, and a great selection of food to munch on during the game. |
Framed by the Rocky Mountains and perched a mile above sea level, Denver is a uniquely intriguing city boasting a frontier spirit typified in the rugged local cuisine. But it is also thoroughly modern, with inhabitants who keep with the times to prevent Denver from feeling like a relic. Denver flights take nine hours and 40 minutes to get you from London, and with limited cheap flights to Denver you may not have much of a choice over when you travel. A flight to Denver International Airport will usually be followed by a transfer service on to one of the central Denver hotels. This can take more than half an hour since the airport is the third largest in the world and has been placed some way outside the city. There are many Denver car hire operators at the airport to lend you a vehicle to use throughout your stay, which is a sensible choice if you want to explore outside the city. In the city there are buses and a light rail service to get you around the central areas, as well as plenty of car parks for those who want to drive themselves. Since the mayor of Denver made his name as the owner of a microbrewery and a chain of brewpub restaurants it is no surprise that beer, food and fine dining are important in Denver. The backdrop of the Rocky Mountains lures you in with its beauty, and many choose to revisit. Why not explore Colorado more with a visit to Boulder off your next Denver flight?Flights To Denver
