Flint is a large city in Michigan in the USA, located along the Flint River, 66 miles north west of Detroit. It's best known as the original site of General Motors and today is a symbol of the decline in the automotive industry. It also gained attention in 1989 when Flint local Michael Moore made a documentary about the impact made on the city and surrounding areas by the closure of several General Motors manufacturing plants in the 1980s.
