Getting to Phoenix Phoenix flights are available to the Sky Harbour International Airport from nearly every city within the U.S.A. and from most major international airports. Cheap flights to Phoenix are available if you book your flights in advance and travel with a no-frills airline. Cheap flights to Phoenix can usually be had as part of a package holiday. Desert Botanical Garden Located in Papago Park in Central Phoenix, the Desert Botanical Garden is one of the best places anywhere to enjoy the beauty of a desert. It is home to one of the world's finest collections of desert plants. You will find 50 acres of stunning exhibits outside and 139 endangered and rare plant species from around the world. Heard Museum The Heard Museum is home to over 32,000 unique pieces of fine and cultural art, all displayed in an incredibly graceful and stylish way. The exhibits on display all-year round include the collection of Kachina Dolls by Barry Goldwater, with special exhibits on display throughout the year. Some of the annual events held at the Museum include the World Championship Hoop Dance Contest and the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market. Piestewa Peak Piestewa Peak is part of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve and is roughly 2,600 feet high. Although not particularly tall, the Peak is a great workout for anyone and once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the city.
