Newquay, UK

Spring has sprung here, which means bookings for breaks in Cornwall, one of our favourite holidays destinations in the UK, are really starting to take off. And that makes now a great time to get your holiday booked too! Newquay is one of the UK's quintessential destinations for a seaside holiday, offering world-class surfing as well as miles of sandy beaches, plus a great nightlife too.

Fistral Beach is known worldwide for its surfing, so you should definitely look for a hotel here if you want to learn. There are numerous surf schools and equipment hire places nearby so you needn't worry about forking out the big bucks only to find you have all the grace and skill of Bambi on ice!

Watergate Bay and Crantock Beach are great for family holidays, tucked away either side of the town itself, but within easy reach of the sights such as Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium should the British weather get in the way of beach plans.

It's well worth taking your car, or booking a rental so that you can enjoy more of Cornwall too. Visit the Eden Project, famous for its gigantic biomes that transport you to tropical landscapes, see pretty St. Ives with its arty vibe, go to Land's End, or head out on a hunt for the Beast of Bodmin Moor!
