One of north England's most popular seaside destinations, Blackpool is famous for its tower, beaches and seaside views, and combined with its amusements and nightlife you've got a great British seaside delight.
The greatest volume of hotels in Blackpool are on and around its famous Promenade, by the seafront. Here you can find everything from the luxury Imperial Hotel to mid-range comfort at Canasta and Staymor to affordable cheap options at Norbreck Castle Hotel. If, however, you'd like a bit more freedom to explore the city or want the chance to cook some of the stunning local seafood yourself, then you should definitely consider renting apartment around Alexandra Road. These self-catered flats will give you the opportunity to eat in or out as you please.
If you want to save major pounds on accommodation, then you may want to consider taking a tent with you and staying a little way out of the main city, at the Marton Mere Caravan Park for example. These campsites and caravan parks are often significantly cheaper than hotels, and getting into the city centre is a piece of cake. If you are travelling from the far north or south of the UK, then it could be worth flying to Manchester, Liverpool, or one of the other nearby airports and making your way to Blackpool from there – if booked well in advance this could be cheaper than travelling by rail or road.
