There is a huge number of direct UK flights to Jersey from airports up and down the country. From Glasgow to Guernsey, airlines such as easyJet, FlyBe and British Airways all run services, so there is plenty of choice when planning your trip. There are also numerous companies that run ferry services between Jersey and both the English coast (from ports like Poole, Portsmouth and Weymouth) and the other Channel Islands. Travelling in by ferry will also give you the option of bringing your own car, saving on car hire bills at the other end.

To save spending a packet on hotels in Jersey, you should consider bringing a tent with you and checking out some of the great campsites dotted around the island, like the ones around Trinity and St Martin. Alternatively, there are plenty of cheap hotels and bed and breakfasts in and around St Helier that are clean, comfortable and won't break the bank. Food can be pricey on Jersey, but if you don't mind cooking for yourself, then you should definitely head down to one of the many fish markets, pick up some of the excellent fresh produce and rustle up a storm.
