AKA the lake gardens, this is a stunning area of Kuala Lumpur that seems to have been largely overlooked by other tourists! Stop by with lunch you won't regret it!

Lovely zoo, a wonderful selection of animals. The highlights for me were the malaysian elephants and the bengal and malaysian tigers. Oooh and the freshwater aquarium. I love seeing the native animals.

Its dull name belies the wonders behind its doors, once you've gone here you'll see everything around the city with new eyes, eyes that now have the cultural knowledge of the historical backgrouond to everything. Not so relevant, the 520 million yr old metamorphic rock was a true treat though.

A throughly interesting place, I fell like I understand the Malay people and their history so much more after a trip to this lovely Museum. The traditional building sets the tone and the dioramas really bring everything to life. My kids particularly enjoyed the shadow play.
