Muscat is the beautiful capital of Oman, one of the Arab states. Situated in the north east of the country on the Arabian Sea, the city is bordered by the craggy Al Hajar Mountains. This volcanic landscape rises up to 1,800 metres and cuts down to a deep natural harbour, creating a stunning backdrop for Muscat holidays.

How To Get To Muscat

The main international airport for a flight to Muscat is 32km west of the capital and all flights from the Middle East, Far East and Europe land here. There are no rail connections in the Sultanate and public bus services are very limited. These baiza buses serve mostly main routes, but they do pick up and drop off anywhere. For the ability to travel where you want when you want, car hire from Muscat Airport is a popular choice.
