Byzantine and Christian Museum
posted by ktoyley I just thought this museum was wonderful. My husband had been before, before the renovations, and says it's so much better now. The collection, the displays, the facilities, all great. And the queues a lot smaller too than at some of the other big name places. Glyfada
posted by mclark This is the cool and chic part of Athens and where we met our friends on their boat for a few days. Loads of restaurants and cooler than cool hangouts. Great to see the other side of this capital city. Zappeion Gardens
posted by vbiery Great friendly park, a fun place to hang out and meet some of the locals away from the main sights. First Cemetery
posted by mullman What an intersting, pretty and thought-provoking place to go. Many of the graves have been grassed over whilst some of the others have some wonderful and interesting designs. A pretty and peaceful spot. Syntagma Square
posted by bcass We were very lucky to have a hotel right by this square, and yes, we did do the tourist thing of watching the comedy guards with their skirts and pom poms! Great place to meet people and chill out, and near loads of great sights, would definitely stay in the same area again. |
