Bishkek, the capitol city of Kyrgyzstzn, was originally a caravan stop but has now grown into a modern city full of quality restaurants and trendy nightclubs. Choosing A Bishkek Hotel

Whilst there are many cheap hotels in Bishkek, the majority of these are either in the business district or close to the main street 'The Silk Way'. Many prefer to stay at one of the more luxurious premises found a few kilometres from the city centre. Nonetheless, the city itself is a great place to walk through with its wide boulevards and marble-faced public buildings, interspersed with many Soviet-style apartment blocks. Worth a visit are the History Museum, the Fine Museum and the Kyrgyz Economic Achievement Exhibition. The mix of vibrant nightlife and the many cheap hotels in Bishkek make this an ideal destination for the young and the single.

When To Visit Bishkek

Depending on what you are looking for, both the summer and winter are great times to visit this city. In summer, the beautiful landscapes, including the Issyk-Kul Lake and the glorious Djayloos, are not to be missed. Whilst if skiing is your thing, there are several ski resorts nearby. If you are planning on taking a flight to Bishkek, you will need to fly to Manas International Airport. If you avail of thecar hire from Bishkek Airport (Manas) this will allow you to get to the centre in 25 minutes.
