Even if you are not planning a holiday solely to Capri, any extended visit to either the Amalfi Coast or Naples should include a few days here, as even today it is seen as a Mediterranean 'must see' destination. The island has only two towns, Capri and Anacapri, but there is plenty to see and do in this Mediterranean paradise.

When to visit Capri

Capri has a great number of beautiful beaches, stunning walks through lemon groves and a number of attractions including the world famous Blue Grotto. The best time to visit this excellent family holiday destination is between the months of April and August, although be aware that many cheap hotels in Capri are in high demand during the middle of this peak season. If you're planning a winter visit be aware that Capri pretty much closes down to tourists in October, meaning although you will still find places to eat and stay, you may not get to see everything you had hoped.
