When you think of Casablanca, the first thought that comes to mind is usually the war film starring Humphrey Bogart, a love story, but this film was not actually shot in Morocco and bears little resemblance to Casablanca itself which is set in western Morocco and is the largest city in Morocco. It has a temperate climate which makes it ideal as a tourist destination. There are two airports, Casablanca-Anfa and Mohammed V International and there is much to see.

Casablanca can be visited all the year round owing to its climate, which is tempered by the Atlantic Ocean.Casablanca holidays have much to offer in the way of sightseeing including the breathtaking Mosque, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. There are numerous offices and shopping malls, as well as the more traditional buildngs.The New Town was designed by the French architect Henri Prost and has lots of Art Deco buildings. As there are many cheap hotels in Casablanca it should not be out of bounds to the tourist who wishes to experience a holiday with a difference in a city which is an interesting mix of modern and traditional.
