Dundee is the fourth biggest city in Scotland, it is located in the eastern central lowlands and sits on the north bank of the River Tay. With a host of castles, attractions and even an extinct volcano the title of "one city, many discoveries" is well earned. When to visit Dundee

There are plenty of indoor as well as outdoor attractions and activities so the time of year shouldn't dictate when you visit the city. However a lot of the festivals fall in the September - November period and include: The Dundee Science Festival in October/November; the Dundee Flower and Food festival in Aug/Sept; NEoN Festival, which is a digital arts festival in November and the Dundee Jazz Festival towards the end of November too.
