Giessen is a more than 850-years old city in the middle of Hessen, between Frankfurt and Marburg. It is located on the River Lahn and has more than 73.000 inhabitants. The surrounding Region Middle Hassia has a strong nature attitude: green highlands with picturesque castles are connected by hiking routes. Canoeing on the River Lahn is very popular.
