When to visit Harare

Choosing to visit Harare during the warmer season is definitely a good idea and between September and October there are more outdoor events and festivals. In fact, October is typically the hottest month and due to the types of trees and plant in the city, a colour pallet of pinks, reds and oranges dominates the landscape. Some parts of the city are more developed than others and while public transport links do exist throughout Harare, car hire from Harare Airport is a cheap and efficient way to get around. It's also worth noting that cheap flights to Harare are available throughout the year and additionally, The National Railways of Zimbabwe runs daily overnight trains between Harare and Mutare.
