Kingston has two very distinct seasons so be sure you know when you're visiting! The wet season, which includes the hurricane season, runs from May to November, so visiting at this time means you need to keep an eye on the local weather warnings - you should still get some sun though and it's a great time to get a bargain. During the period from December to April, Kinston experiences a dry season and rain is rare during so it's a better time to visit for guaranteed sun. During the summer months and occasionally at Christmas, Emancipation Park offers free concerts so check it out if you're there then. If you visit Kingston during the dry season then you may wish to visit Port Royal and take a boat over to Lime Cay for the day to go snorkelling.
