Meia Praia
posted by yelinor This gorgeous long beach was the focal point for the long sunny days of our girly holiday in Lagos. Great place, we really love the Algarve! Boat Trip
posted by wcribbs We took a boat trip from the harbour at sunset and it was sooo romantic! I felt a bit sorry for the driver guy as we were just two couples, but he didn't seem to mind! The cliffs at sunset were simply stunning. Parque da Mina
posted by hsteele We went for a family day out here, at this mining theme park, and it was a beautiful place and really entertaining. The kids especially loved the animals but for me the stately home was great. Ponta da Piedade
posted by qdrabble This could be one of the most stunning places i've visited, the rocks and the clear water are absolutely gorgeous. Could definitely spend all day just looking out at the view here. Penina Championship Course
posted by khill Although my wife was less than pleased, I decided to forgo sunbathing for a day and go for a round of golf at the Penina course, where the Portuguese Open is often held. Lagos is the bomb! It's very spread out and it is hard to get a good grip on the the place. The city consists of Lagos island, Victoria islands and a lot of suburbs, which constitute complete cities of their own. Most visitors who come to Lagos are here for business, and touristic infrastructure is lacking a bit. The town does have an interesting museum filled with replicas of some of the best African art you can find in Europe and the US. There are good beaches nearby, and in places like Ikeja or in Bar Beach there is always something going on - even if it is just a huge "go slow".
