Our hotel was offering some training dives and so we decided to join and and absolutley loved it! There's so much cool stuff to see under the sea, I never knew it before! Definitely planning on going abck to complete my qualification.

This is a great little hotel has its own stretch of private beach. A good swimming pool and plenty of decent features. It's a little way out of town, which for us was a real asset though there might be people more intent on being more in the thick of things.

When to go
Turkey's summers can get pretty hot and July and August are undoubtedly the hottest. This also coincides with the peak season and the resorts fill up making it quite hard to find bargain hotels in Marmaris. Winters are much cooler, there's more rain but the weather is still good and there's a resident expatriate community so there's still plenty to do. What to do
During the day most head for the beaches which are covered with a dark slightly-gritty sand. They aren't the widest but you will find plenty of sun beds and umbrellas to keep you in the shade. Many hotels in Marmaris have private beaches and some even go to the trouble of importing sand. The waters are stunningly clear and very warm making it excellent for bathing. If you're a beach connoisseur, then head about half an hour out of the resort where you will find some amazing beaches that are much less crowded in the high season.

Once you've found the right Marmaris hotel at the right price then expect to find lots of fantastic restaurants with amazing local food as well as Bar street, which does what it says on the tin and is filled with bars and nightclubs where you can party the night away.

The luxury market in Marmaris hotels is well catered for with the likes of Club Resort Select Maris and the Club Fanya Hotel, Maramaris. The Marti Resort Hotel, Maramaris is in the mid-range category and offers excellent value for money. At the budget end of the scale the Amphi Apartments and Studios gets good reviews.
