El Badi Palace
posted by wunk We went here thinking we were seeing the original super-opulent palace, but this is just a rebuild. Still, it's quite nice to look around for a bit although calling it "like the Alhambra" is a bit of a stretch. Jardin Harti
posted by rschere We were staying near here so liked to come for a stroll in the greenery as often as possible. The outdoor amphitheatre even has shows sometimes, although we were more intersted in heading off to eat some delicious food I have to say! Souks
posted by htomco I adore souks and these are pretty spectacular as they go! So much to see and smell (not all great admittedly) it's just a fascinating melting pot. Museum of Marrakech
posted by kkifer We went here on our first day and it was a wonderful introduction to the Moroccan way of life. I was totally enchanted by the architecture of the building as well as the collections themselves. Tanneries
posted by qvanleer Unforgettable experience! Stinky and a bit gross but mesmerising at the same time. It's hard to see how this stinkly bloody mess could end up as the lovely leather goods you see in the Souk! Not pretty but definitely memorable!! |
