The biggest concentration of Sorrento hotels can be found closest to the sea but if you are prepared to look further inland, the prices will tend to reduce. By walking just ten to twenty minutes away from the coastline, you have a much better chance of finding a cheap hotel in Sorrento as a result.

When to visit Sorrento

If you're planning your Sorrento holidays the resort is at its busiest during the height of the summer from June through to August. Italians also use Sorrento extensively for their own holidays so August in particular is a busy time. Alternatively, the climate is very temperate here so it is certainly possible to enjoy Sorrento at most times of the year. The resort is friendly with some beautiful locations and it is easy to get to. Sorrento connects easily by road to Naples and its international airport. Once you've arrived, there is limited public transport but plenty of cheap Sorrento car hire to get you around the area.
