Dalaman Airport information
On arrival in Dalaman
Dalaman international airport is six km from the centre of town and is connected by a regular bus service. You can pick up car hire from Dalaman Airport.
Getting around Dalaman
Dalaman is primarily a thoroughfare as far as tourists are concerned and is well connected to the nearby attractions by a network of buses that run between towns. Dolmus services - shared taxis that don't depart until they are full - are a good way of getting between smaller villages. There are a number of boat services that can be taken to access various attractions such as Kaunos.
Travelling further afield
Turkey has an excellent network of private coaches which connect the major cities. Services are available from Dalaman and to Marmaris, Antalya, Bodrum, Izmir and further afield to Istanbul. A more leisurely and more costly means of onward travel are the private boat tours which run irregular trips along the peninsula to Antalya and Marmaris. Boats can usually be chartered in Fethiye and vary vastly in price and quality so it's well worth shopping around.
