€ Euros. The cheapest place to exchange money is at a bank, where the rates are generally more favourable than at Fuerteventura hotels or resorts. ATMs are also a great source of cash but beware of the hidden charges. To make your money go further, you can generally save by pre-booking transfers, tours or excursions - providing you know in advance what you want to do.

Language:

Spanish. Most people in Fuerteventura's tourist resorts and at attractions speak good English as well as some German and French. If you're travelling further afield a few words of Spanish are useful.
