Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura Weather
Whenever you fly to Fuerteventura you're sure to have warm weather as the average temperature in the winter is about 22°C and upwards of 30°C at the height of the summer. There is little rainfall which is predominantly confined to the winter months and generally falls in the north. Trade winds cool the island most of the time but the occasional Calima (hot sandy air) raises the temperature and covers everything with a fine layer of sand.
Tourist Season
December to March is the peak season as Europe takes advantage of the warm weather with Fuerteventura winter sun holidays so be sure to book early. February and March are especially busy as this is the carnival season when towns and villages across Fuerteventura throw parties, big and small. July to September is also very busy with sun worshippers flocking to the beaches, and barely a room to be found in the hotels. Since the weather is so nice all year round it's easy to take advantage of the quieter times to get some cheap deals and a bit of elbow room on the beach!
