The currency in Geneva is Swiss Francs. Euros are accepted in some places but the exchange rate is normally very bad. ATMs are very common and tend to offer the best rates, but if you want to exchange cash, post offices, train stations and banks all tend to offer a very similar rate.

French is the official language, but being an international destination many languages are catered for, with English being one of the most prominent. One of the main sources of language confusion is that Lake Geneva is called Lac Leman in French!
