Travel to Gran Canaria

There are plenty of flights to Gran Canaria that depart from destinations all over the UK, with flight times of approximately four and a half hours.

On arrival in Gran Canaria

There are buses that will take you to Las Palmas or Faro Las Maspalomas, or package holidays will normally include a free transfer. Car hire is an alternative option and the roads are uncomplicated with major destinations well signposted.

Getting around destination

The buses on Gran Canaria are cheap and frequent, and can be used for small distances as well as to travel to other parts of the island. Taxis are available but are always metered so can be expensive for greater distances. If you?re driving, there are motorways that cover most of the island, and a particularly lovely drive is to go around the coastal road and enjoy the spectacular views, although it can get a bit twisty in the mountains!
