Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria Weather
With excellent weather all year round there is no bad time to holiday in Gran Canaria. Destinations around the cost in particular enjoy fine weather with highs in the summer of 30°C or higher, and temperatures regularly reaching upwards of 20°C during the winter. The island is well known for having several different microclimates inland though, so that the mountains can have snow, or the forests can be cold, even though people are still sunbathing elsewhere. The south of the island is generally drier than the north, although with a yearly average of about 130mm that's not really much to worry about.
Tourist season on Gran Canaria
The most popular time to visit Gran Canaria is December to February when holidaymakers seek out some winter sun. Nearly as popular is the summer season from May to October. March and April are lovely months to visit and the island is a bit quieter then, and the best holiday deals are generally available in November and mid-December.
