Gumbet

Hot Spots

Gumbet Resort

Gumbet is a small compact resort so wherever you hotel is, the beach will not be far away. The beach is huge at nearly a kilometre long so there's plenty of space, although the action tends to be concentrated around the bars, shops, cafes and clubs that line the centre of the beach, forming the hub of the resort both day and night. Plenty of water sports are on offer ranging from the adrenaline rush or waterskiing or parasailing to the more relaxed pursuits of snorkelling and boat trips.

Bodrum

Nearby Bodrum can easily be accessed on public transport and offers a wealth of attractions, with one of the most popular being the Dedeman Aquapark, a huge waterpark with rides for old and young. The cultural side of the region can also be accessed with a trip to the old town and particularly the Castle which houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology.

Bodrum Peninsula

The whole of the Bodrum Peninsula is very pretty and there are plenty of pretty little beaches to visit. Turgetries, Gumusluk, Ortakent and Bitez are all very popular and just a short drive away. Rabbit Island at Gumusluk is particularly fun for families to visit as it involves wading out across a shallow causeway. The interior of the area is also great for walking, mountain biking and rock climbing.

Further Afield

A holiday to Gumbet also presents exciting opportunities to visit important and interesting sites throughout Turkey with plenty of organised day trips on offer. Epheseus, the second city of the Roman Empire and the thermal bathing waters at Pamukkale are the most popular excursions, with the mud baths at Dalyan a close third.
