Getting around Gumbet
The local buses are called Dolmus and they tend to display their destination on the front and pick up and drop off passengers anywhere along the route. Taxis are yellow and within the resort it's best to make sure that the meter is running or agree a set price before embarking on the journey. Gumbet is quite small so often walking is the best bet for getting around.
Travelling further afield
Hiring a car is a great way to see more of the Bodrum Peninsula, but if you'd rather relax on your holiday in Gumbet there are other ways to see the area. Boat trips to nearby seaside villages, ferry trips to Kos and Rhodes and coach trips to other attractions in the region are easy to come by and not too expensive. For longer distances, travel like the locals on the intercity buses, which can take you all over the country, just remember to take your own food and drink!
