Hurghada has one of the highest total hours of sun per year of anywhere in the world, and it very seldom rains. Hurghada's summers can get very hot, although the cooling sea breezes make it more bearable than inland. July to September is the height of the summer with temperatures over 35°C to be expected most days. April, May, October and November have lovely weather with temperatures around the mid-20°s, and the winter from December to February isn't exactly cold! 17°C is the typical temperature, although it can get quite cold at night, almost dropping to single figures, so remember something warm!
Hurghada is really popular for holidays throughout the year, depending on how hot you want it to be. The busiest times tend to be Christmas, Easter and August-September when both the British and the Russians are on holiday. Winter is the best time to come if you're after a bargain - look out for special offers on the resorts and all-inclusive deals.
