Ibiza
Travel to Ibiza
Flights depart for Ibiza airport from all over the UK, and the flight time is around two and a half hours.
On arrival in Ibiza
There are several options for getting to your accommodation. The easiest way is to pre-book transfers online - they're available to all the major resorts, and there's the added benefit that if you book a return they will ensure that you are on time for your departure. The alternatives are to hire a car , which will give you plenty of freedom, use the local buses, which are cheap but slightly confusing as they use the Catalan names for the places (for example Ibiza = Eivissa), or taxis which are fairly expensive and there can be quite a wait at peak arrival times.
Getting around Ibiza
On such a small island, many destinations can be reached by walking. Ibiza also has a pretty comprehensive bus network with most fares under €2. The buses run around the towns and across the island throughout the day, and to between party destinations and resorts throughout the night as well. A nice way to see the island is to hire cars or scooters, but be aware that the locals are generally quite reckless on the roads! Taxis are also available and you should expect to pay €20-€30 to travel between cities. Boat trips are another option either for travelling around the island or for visiting the nearby island of Formentera.
Travelling further afield
Ferries run regularly between Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza and the Spanish mainland. However most people choose to fly if they're travelling elsewhere in Spain.
