Las Vegas

Hot Spots

The Strip

The four-mile long Las Vegas Strip is famous for its casinos and helped give Las Vegas the name of Sin City. Eighteen of the 25 largest hotels in the world are located here, along with a glittering array of attractions, all lit up by the famous neon lights. Where else is it possible to see a Pyramid (Luxor Las Vegas), a fairytale castle (Excalibur Hotel and Casino), big top (circus circus) and the Eifel Tower (Paris Las Vegas) all on one street? Not for those who like peace and quiet, this is the full Las Vegas experience.

Downtown

Sitting just next to the Strip, you can get a look at Old Vegas here, with downtown being dominated by the financial centre and high-rise buildings. But that doesn't mean there's no fun to be had. There are plenty more casinos centred around the fantastic Fremont Street Experience, as well as excellent shows. There's cheaper accommodation to be had here too.

Boulder Strip

With a bit less glamour than the Strip itself, this area of Las Vegas is popular with those stopping over for a day or two, and it's here that you'll find the best deals on hotels. There are still plenty of casinos to choose from, but the additional entertainment is minimal in most of them. The Boulder Strip is also the setting of the Sam Boyd Stadium, home to several American Football teams.

Gambled away all your money?

Believe it or not there is more to Las Vegas than casinos! Venture away from the main tourist areas and you'll find art exhibitions, gardens and museums. You can even learn about the water springs that attracted the first settlers to Las Vegas at the Springs Preserve, so why not explore a little whilst you're there?
