Las Vegas
Travel to Las Vegas
You can get to Las Vegas from airports all over the UK, with most flights going direct to McCarran International Airport. If you're on a budget there are often deals on indirect flights, worth checking out if you want more money for the casinos!
On Arrival in Las Vegas
There are a variety of shuttle buses and shuttle limousines that drop off at most of the major hotels, and are pretty reasonably priced. The local buses also serve the airport so that could be a cheaper alternative. If you're planning on travelling further afield you may want to hire a car. And of course plenty of taxis are available.
Getting Around Las Vegas
If you're planning on staying close to the strip you might be able to walk everywhere, taking in the neon signs and the huge hotels on the way. To help you out, there is a trolley bus service covering the southern area of the Strip and free shuttle buses between some of the casinos. There are a couple of trams too, as well as a monorail that serves the whole of the four-mile strip. But if you're planning on seeing a little more of the city, Las Vegas' bus network is comprehensive and offers a regular service at a reasonable price. Hotels can also arrange for taxis on request, but for longer journeys it's better to hire a car.
Travelling Further Afield
If you're heading off to other destinations from Las Vegas, hiring a car is probably the easiest option, but not the only one. The intercity coach networks offer connections to Utah, California and Arizona, and you can get onto the railway network at Needles, California via a connecting shuttle bus.
