Leeds Bradford Airport Guide (LBA)

Located between Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate, Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) is the main hub for West Yorkshire. 13 airlines fly to over 80 direct destinations, and over 2.7 million passengers came through the airport in 2011.

Terminals

The airport has one terminal over two floors. Check-In Halls A and B, the pre-security shops and cafés and Arrivals can be found on the ground floor. Part of Departures is also on the ground floor (Gates 1-5 and some restaurants/bars), while the rest of Departures and the Yorkshire Premier Lounge are on the first floor.

Getting there

Reaching Leeds Bradford Airport by car:
The airport is easily accessible via the A1, M1 and M62. Take the A660 north from Leeds, or the A658 north from Bradford, or the A61 then the A658 south from Harrogate.

Reaching Leeds Bradford Airport by train:
There isn't a rail station at the airport. The major railway hubs of Leeds and Bradford are linked to the airport by bus services (see below). These rail stations are connected to major towns and cities throughout the UK.

A range of services links the airport with Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and other local destinations.

Shopping and Dining

Shops at Leeds Bradford Airport: Travelex and WHSmith are both before and after security, and in the departure lounge there is also Superdrug and World Duty Free.

Bars and restaurants at Leeds Bradford Airport: before security you will find AM Express (curries and South Asian cuisine) and Caffè Ritazza, and after security there is Burger King, The Camden Food Company, The Danby Bar and The Saltaire Bar and Eatery.

Currency exchange: available through Travelex, with kiosks throughout the terminal.
Internet: there are several wi-fi hot spots and internet-connected computer desks throughout the terminal.

The Airport Information Desk and OCS Desk are on the ground floor of the main concourse.
Other services include a chaplaincy for all faiths, Fast Track through security, and the option to join the Yorkshire Executive Club for convenient parking, Fast Track through security and entry to the Yorkshire Premier Lounge.

Lounges and business facilities

The Yorkshire Premier Lounge is open to all passengers. Facilities include free wi-fi, TVs and gaming consoles, complimentary drinks, snacks and Yorkshire delicacies, magazines and newspapers and board games, colouring books and reading books for children.

There are conference and events facilities at the Aviation Academy at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Car parking and car hire

The Terminal Front Drop Off & Pick Up car park costs £2 for the first 30 minutes.

The Short Stay and Mid Stay car parks are a 2-3 minute walk to the terminal, while Long Stay is a 5-10 minute walk. Long Stay is also served by a courtesy shuttle bus.

The Business Car Park is a 1-2 minute walk to the terminal and includes up to 4 free fast track security passes for each Business Car Park ticket.

Motorcycles and bicycles may be parked/chained up in any of the car parks, and Special Assistance parking is available in all car parks.

Car hire at Leeds Bradford Airport is available through Avis, Enterprise, Europcar and Hertz, and it's advisable to compare prices in advance for the best deal .

There is an on-site Travelodge that is served by a courtesy bus to and from the terminal building.
