Travel to Palma

The Palma City Airport (PMI) is the main airport for the whole island of Majorca and is serviced daily by direct flights from airports around the UK. Plenty of low-cost airlines operate to flights to Palma Majorca, so there are usually some great deals available, though you'll need to book well in advance for peak periods.

On arrival in Palma

If you're in Majorca on a package holiday then check with your tour operator whether a transfer to the resort is included in the price. Taxis are available at the airport or you can book car hire for collection if you'd like your own set of wheels on Majorca.

If you're heading into Palma town then you can use public transport. Palma Majorca Airport is only nine km outside the city centre and the EMT line 1 runs bus services into town every 15 minutes. It'll only set you back a couple of euros too.

Getting around Palma

Palma is well serviced by the Empresa Municipal de Transportes Urbanes de Palma de Majorca (EMT) bus service. Regular buses run services to routes all across the city. The city centre and routes to the beach areas are particularly well served. Alternatively roads are good on Majorca so car hire is a good option, especially if you plan to explore the rest of the island too.

Travelling further afield

There are trains from the station at Placa Espanya to all the main resorts and towns on Majorca. These routes are also generally served by EMT bus services. Even further afield you can take a flight or there are ferry services from Palma to Valencia, Ibiza, Barcelona and Denia.
