Turkish Lira (TL). You will get a better exchange rate in Marmaris itself than if you change your money on arrival at Dalaman Airport. Marmaris has plenty of banks and exchange bureaus in the town centre. There are also ATMs which may prove to be the easiest way to get your Lira.

Language:

Turkish. The majority of people in Marmaris speak excellent English, and if you head further out most people you'll meet in the tourist areas will speak English as well as some German.

Entry:

You will need to get a 90-day multiple-entry visitor visa when you arrive at the airport, so make sure that your passport is valid for six months with at least three months remaining after your holiday. The visa costs £10, paid in Pounds Sterling.
