Travel to Marmaris

Dalaman Airport is the nearest airport to Marmaris, approximately 100 km away. Flights are available from a wide variety of airports across the UK. If you are looking for a cheap holiday it may also be worth looking at flights to Bodrum Airport, which is about 150 km away.

On Arrival in Turkey

The easiest option for getting to Marmaris is to hop on one of the transfer coaches. They're timed to leave for Marmaris just after you have landed and collected your luggage. If you are after a bit of independence on your holiday then hiring a car is probably the best option, but be warned that Turkish driving can be very different to the UK!

Getting Around Marmaris

Marmaris and the surrounding areas are served by blue Dolmus minibuses and these will be the easiest way of travelling short distances. They are frequent, cheap and will stop for you wherever you want. Other buses are also available but the services are less frequent and generally more expensive. There are plenty of organised trips you can join to explore the surrounding bays or organise car hire in Marmaris to decide when you travel.

Travelling Further Afield

There are loads of great places to visit further away from Marmaris, which can be reached by car or on an organised tour. You can also go to Istanbul and other intercity destinations on the coach network. Ferries depart from the harbour for Rhodes in Greece or you can also join a cruise to destinations near and far.
