Marmaris
Marmaris is still a year round destination with the summer being popular with sun-seekers and the winter appealing more to those seeking a bit of winter warmth and lots of good sightseeing. Summers are hot and humid, bringing high temperatures of around 35°C with very little rain and warm nights. Whilst the weather in Marmaris is still very pleasant in winter, it is colder and wetter with daytime highs of about 15°C. But even at night the temperature rarely drops below 5°C.
The main tourist season in Marmaris runs from May to September when the guaranteed sunshine and low rainfall bring in the partying crowd for long days of sunbathing and nights out in some of the best clubs in Turkey. For slightly milder weather and fewer tourists, April and October are also popular as the temperatures are in the mid-twenties and the rainfall is still minimal. The low season runs from November to March, and this is when you'll find extremely cheap hotels, although some restaurants, bars and tour excursion companies may be closed over the winter. However, if you're happy to hire a car you'll get to see plenty of sights without the crowds.
