Bogdan

I am very passionate about technology, and about travelling, so what better way to mix them both together than working for Dealchecker. When I'm not developing new features for the website or travelling, I like to play all kinds of sports, like football and table tennis.

Expertise

PARIS

Paris is my favourite city in Europe. I've been there twice already, and plan to go again in the future. In my opinion, one can't get bored of Paris. I've also visited the Loire valley, with its beautiful castles and scenery, so I can say I know the countryside as well as city life in France.

PRAGUE

Prague has a special spot in my heart. It's a city you can visit in any season, and makes you feel you've gone back in time. It's the best place to go if you want to leave all your worries behind.

GREECE

I chose this as the destination for my honeymoon. I visited Athens, with the Acropolis and also a few islands: Aegina, Hydra, and Poros. I also took the chance to make road trips to the Corinth channel and Rhodos.

ROMANIA

I grew up in Bucharest and know Romania pretty well. My country is mainly known for Dracula, Hagi, Nadia Comaneci and Ilie Nastase, but it has a lot more to offer. It has beautiful mountains, with castles and monasteries, but also world heritage sites like the Danube Delta. It's definitely a country worth visiting.

LAST HOLIDAY

The Loire Valley, France. I went for a weekend break, with my wife. The area is one of extraordinary beauty, boasting castles and wineries. I visited some of the castles, with their brilliant gardens. The trip also had a historic side, with all of the castles reminding us of how the wealthy French kings lived.

BEST HOLIDAY

A trip I took to Paris and Madrid, one week in each. I might be subjective about it, because it was my first trip abroad, but it was quite an amazing experience. I have to say it was quite exhausting though, because I wanted to see as much as possible.

DREAM HOLIDAY

Spain and Portugal road trip, starting in Barcelona, and continuing along the coast to Malaga, Gibraltar, Seville, Lisbon and finishing in Porto.

TRAVEL NIGHTMARE

Flying back from Madrid, the city we were supposed to land in was experiencing a terrible thunderstorm, so we were in for a bumpy ride.

SUNLOUNGER OR ALWAYS ON THE GO?

Always on the go. Can't relax knowing I'm in a city I don't know and I'm wasting time. I'm always saying to myself I should relax on holidays, but I always find myself coming back more tired than I was when I left.

WHAT'S A GREAT DEAL FOR YOU?

A great deal is a deal that I buy when I'm not planning to go on holiday, but I have to buy because it's too good.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THE BEST FOOD?

Probably Italy, even though I haven't been there. Yet.
